What is AIM?

The AmeriCorps Impact Makers (AIM) program is a program where rural North Dakota communities have the ability to bring on young adults (ages 18-22) from their communities for short-term (2.5-3 month) positions to help build capacity in programs, events, and volunteer participation. It is a low-cost option to assist in expanding your reach in your community.

What is AIM's mission?

Our Mission is to inspire and prepare potential young leaders who have recently graduated from high school (ages 18-22) to assume influential positions in their profession and community through community-led AmeriCorps summer experiences. Our vision is for youth AmeriCorps to provide young adults opportunities to serve in their local communities, learn effective leadership skills and on-the job training and skills in rural communities across North Dakota.

What are the benefits to participants AIM?
  • Monthly living allowance.
  • Education Stipend to use at trade school or higher education institutions.
  • Skill and leadership development. Part-time work; could have another job or enjoy summer with this position.
  • Short-term (Summer only).
